Throwback Thursday

This Thursday segment will include a classic Ric Flair interview. Flair's interviews are always entertaining. Naitch's promos from the '80s are legendary and set the bar for other wrestlers' mic work. This week's edition may be one of the best of all. In this promo, Slic' Ric talks about rolexes, America, and bashes Buddy Landell. It's hilarious. Enjoy!

Invasion 1992

WrestleMania XXIV won't be the first time Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels have tangled in the square circle. As a result, I'll be posting video from some of their past match-ups. First up, a contest between then Rockers' Shawn Michaels (before he was HBK) and Ric Flair, who had just come over from WCW. The match took place during the WWF's Invasion Tour way back in 1992. If you're wondering why Flair's belt is all blurry it's because he brought over the NWA belt from WCW to the WWF and so Vinnie Mac wouldn't get sued they decided to blur it out. Oh yeah, and sorry about the audio.

Flair's Show Stopped?

Last night on RAW, Flair and HBK successfully teamed up, beating Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. However, HBK left Flair with some ominous words after the match...

From WWE.com:
Before Ric Flair faces Shawn Michaels in a Career Threatening Match at WrestleMania, the two longtime friends joined forces in a tag team match against Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. Mutual respect was shown between the 16-time World Champion and The Showstopper when Flair locked Cade into the Figure-Four Leglock and Michaels, not to be outdone, locked Murdoch in a leglock submission hold of his own.

However, after the match, HBK stressed to his idol that he did not want to face him at WrestleMania and be the man to end Flair’s career. However, The Showstopper also warned the "Nature Boy" that his show would be stopped if he continued to pursue their match.
